1. What is Bizzz?

Bizzz is our new Winnipeg Chamber online business directory where you can find local and credible professional services and goods worth buzzing about (see what we did there?).

It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a home renovator to build your new deck or maybe a cool ice cream shop near your home – Bizzz will help you find them.

Our new online directory is a collection of Winnipeg business profiles that includes important information you’re always searching for. Bizzz profiles include a summary about what they do, who they serve, the best contact number, hours of operation and even photos and testimonials from customers.

If you are familiar with our traditional Winnipeg Chamber membership directory, this is it. We just got a new name, sleeker look and a more user-friendly profile for you.


2. Is it free to create a Bizzz profile?

Yes! A premium Bizzz profile is included in your Chamber membership. For future members, a Bizzz profile is also free but doesn’t include the full profile features. 

If you want to update to the premium Bizzz profile, you can contact our membership team to find out how a Chamber membership can elevate your business.

Please note: Future member accounts will not be available until late summer 2021. As well as some other very exciting features! Stay tuned! 


3. Why should I create a Bizzz business profile?

Regardless, there’s plenty of reasons why you should sign up for Bizzz, but here’s just a few:

Our online directory helps drive traffic to your website, while building better search engine optimization (SEO) for your online presence. This means when someone searches for keywords related to your business on search engines (e.g. Google), your website will appear higher on their rankings.

4. How do I create my Bizzz profile?

If you’re an existing Chamber member, you should have received an email from [email protected] with a unique link to set up your Bizzz username and password. This email was sent to your organization’s main email contact at The Winnipeg Chamber.

5. What information do I need to update my Bizzz profile?

Your Bizzz profile collects common information customers are always looking for.

Your Bizzz profile includes the following fields:

    1. Brief introduction
    2. About
    3. Products and services
    4. Hours
    5. Images
    6. Social media handles
    7. Testimonials 

6. I didn’t create this profile – why am I listed on Bizzz?

If you’re a Chamber member, one of your member benefits is to be automatically listed on our online membership directory. Since Bizzz is replacing our membership directory, your Bizzz profile will automatically be setup as well.


7. I want to change my business category, how do I do that?

No problem! To change your listed business category, you just have to email us at [email protected] with your company name and new desired category. We will get to it as soon as we can, but it may take us a few business days.


8. I lost my username and password. How do I retrieve it?

If you’re an existing Chamber member, you should have received an email from [email protected] with a unique link to set up your Bizzz username and password. This email was sent to your organization’s main email contact at The Winnipeg Chamber.

If you lost that login, you can click on ‘Forget Password’ on the Bizzz homepage.


9. Why can’t I update the company name, address, email and category fields on Bizzz:

To change these fields, email us at [email protected] with your requested changes.  We will get to it as soon as we can, but it may take us a few business days.

We do this because those fields are pulled directly from our membership database and your membership form. We understand things change and we’re happy to change it for you, but we’re just extra careful with those critical fields.


10. How long will the changes take to go live when I update my profile?

Changes you make on your Bizzz profile directly on the site will be updated in real time.

For changes you emailed to us at [email protected] (e.g. company name, address, email and category fields) we will get to it as soon as we can, but it may take us a few business days.


11. What paid advertising opportunities are there on Bizzz?

We’re definitely working on advertising opportunities for our members for future phases! Stay tuned.


12. Can I pay for my Bizzz listing to appear higher on the listings or on the homepage?

That’s a great idea! We’re also working on this. On top of premium profiles, Winnipeg Chamber members receive complimentary higher rankings on Bizzz listings compared to future members.
