ITINERARY:
November 9: Depart Winnipeg
November 11: Arrive Bangkok 12:15 pm. Meet and transfer to check in at the hotel.
Accommodation: Ramada Menam Riverside
November 12: Bangkok (B/L)
Half Day Sightseeing to board the boat to Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Boat across the river for lunch at Supatra River House. Board the boat to cruise back to the hotel after a quick stop at Wat Arun. Evening at leisure.

November 13: Bangkok – Chiangmai (B/D)
Transfer to Bangkok airport. Arrival meet and greet at Chiangmai airport.
Experience 2 Hour Thai Massage at Rarinjinda Spa. Dinner at a local restaurant.

November 14: Chiangmai (B/L/D)
Learn all about elephants at the Patara Elephant Conservation. Lunch at the Patara Elephant Conservation. Return to Chiangmai.

Full Day Chiangmai Experience: Morning Merit Making(Alms Giving) – Doi Suthep Temple. Lunch, then visit the market, board the Trishaw to pass Chiangmai Old Town, stop at Tah Pae Gate and end the Trishaw tour at Wat Chedi Luang. Visit Old Lanna house with refreshments.
Tonight’s Special Event: Loy Kratong Gala Dinner at Rati Lanna

Breakfast at leisure. Then it’s time for work at Grandma’s Cooking Class to learn all about Thai cooking. Included lunch is what you cooked. Afternoon free. Dinner at a restaurant along the Ping River. Afterwards, join the Thai people to celebrate the Loy Kratong Festival.

November 17: Chiangmai – Luang Prabang (B)
Transfer to airport for your flight to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO town in Laos.
Upon arrival at Luang Prabang, the ancient first capital of Lane Xang kingdom, the centre of religious life in Laos and today the World Heritage City. Meet your local Guide and transfer to our hotel for check-in.

November 18: Luang Prabang (B/D)
Morning visit to Wat Visoun, the 16th century temple serving as a small museum for religious artifacts; Wat Aham, Wat Xiengthong, a fresh produce market Talad Phosy, Ban Xangkhong, a well-known village for its wood paper making, also Lao silk weavings with natural dyes. We will walk around the Old City quarter and through Bamboo Bridge over Nam Khan River at old Town. Afternoon climb up Phousi Hill, the 328 steps leads to the summit of Phousi Hill that dominates the skyline of Luang Prabang overlooking the finest panoramic view. Sunset Dinner Cruise.

November 19: Luang Prabang (B/L)
Early morning Sunrise Alm giving Ceremony. Breakfast at hotel, depart and take an excursion by boat, upstream on the Mekong to visit Pak Ou cave. Our first stop will be at Ban Muangkeo, a well-known village for Lao traditional rice whisky, namely Laoh-Khao to be distilled. We are welcome to taste it and also take away. Lunch is served at a riverside restaurant. Arrive back at Luang Prabang in late afternoon, and continue to drive (30 km South) to visit Kuangsi Waterfall, Ban Na Oune, Ban Tha Pane and Butterfly Park. There is plenty of time for relaxing and a swim in cool water, before we head back to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon. The rest of the day is spent by visiting various craft shops, including silver smiths and also Hmong and Night market in town, where some skilled embroidery-works of Hmong ladies can be seen.

November 20: Luang Prabang – Bangkok (B/L/D)
An eventful day in sightseeing. After breakfast, morning city tour. Then depart Luang Prabang at 10am, a 2-hour pleasant and fast train with scenic views along the way to Vientiane, have lunch and a quick tour, cross the Thai border, tour, dinner then to Udorn Thani Airport for flight to Bangkok.

Full Day to Ayuthaya. Stop at Baan Na Thip Kasem to join Rice Plantations, learn all about rice. Lunch. Visit Ayuthaya Historical Park. Return to Bangkok.

Early morning program to visit Damnern Saduak + Train Market. Boat ride in the canals. Lunch at the market. 2 Hours Thai Massage at Let’s Relax.
