After extensive consultation with members, The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce launched our Performance Playbook: Civic Election 2022 to ensure that the voice of our members is heard during this election. The Playbook is filled with ideas that will improve Winnipeg for all residents, including:

  1. Making Winnipeg the easiest city in Canada to do business
  2. Financing the new urban reality
  3. Reigniting downtown
  4. Building faster, smarter and denser
  5. Investing in infrastructure to get Winnipeg moving

There are 11 mayoral candidates, which is the most in recent memory. With less than a month until the election, Winnipeggers still have plenty of time to learn about the candidates, their positions, and most importantly, what type of mayor they will be. Since July, the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce has met with mayoral candidates. Our questions to them were based on the Playbook. At the Policy 101 event, we will review their answers with you and provide insight about how their policies match up with our Playbook and your priorities.

The Winnipeg Chamber’s mayoral debate is set for October 21.
