Our next Toasting Winnipeg on Friday, April 28 at the Qualico Family Centre, celebrates our booming and vibrant local food scene.

We welcome two local chefs driving food innovations in Manitoba, Peter Fehr, Founder of Gourmet Inspirations, and Cori Poon, Founder of sweet C Bakery, who both say their entrepreneurial spirit comes from growing up on a farm in rural Manitoba.

Today, their products are recognized globally and their products are on hot demand.

Chef Peter Fehr, Founder of Gourmet Inspirations

Chef Peter Fehr is the innovator, creator and producer of Gourmet Inspirations. Peter grew up on a small hobby farm in rural Manitoba and has extensive culinary training and a history in the food service industry. Gourmet Inspirations was established in 2013 with the purpose and goal of creating gourmet, specialty food products that are versatile, convenient and easy to use.

Gourmet Inspirations currently offers a line of delectable 5-star sauces for use at home.

Cori Poon, Founder of Sweet C Bakery 

Cori Poon found her entrepreneurial spirit at the young age of 12 selling baking at the local farmers market and fair in her home town.

When she and her husband had their first child money was tight so she started sweet C bakery as a way to help pay the bills.  Today, sweet C Bakery is known (and sought after) around the world for their Candy Sushi as well as their chocolate covered Oreos and their glamorous dessert buffets.
