Ever wondered what is the difference between a credit score and a credit report? Do you know what builds (or reduces) your credit score? Credit can be very confusing and this can lead to decisions that may impact your overall credit profile. Decisions and actions that are seemingly positive may actually impact you negatively. Come and learn how the credit bureaus and credit reports really work.
NOTE: Please feel free to bring a snack or brown bag dinner to make the most of this session.
Attendee will learn the following:
1. How to order and check your own credit report for free
2. Understand the credit rating system and how to read your credit report
3. Credit Traps, how to master them and use them to your advantage
Tim is the Credit Counselling Society’s Financial Educator for Manitoba and Saskatchewan and is based out of Winnipeg. Tim has over 25 years of experience in Financial Services and is a retired Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Tim has also completed the Canadian Securities Course (Hons.), has achieved his Certificate In Management (C.I.M.) Hons. and is a Certified Educator in Personal Finance (CEPF) Hons.
