We are inviting the Winnipeg community to participate in in the development of a Winnipeg Food Strategy. Food is a connecting point, from our local economy to community building, and from healthy citizens and opportunities for education. Cities across Canada are realizing the enormous potential for thoughtful consideration and planning around food and its relationship to our communities.
On February 20th we will be gathering from 9 – 12PM with lunch to follow for a visioning and planning session open to all Winnipeggers, including representatives from city council, the business community, the food security community, education, planning, and the health sector. Whether you’re a healthcare professional, business owner, urban farmer, teacher, or interested in planning for a healthy city, join us in discussing the potential for a food strategy for Winnipeg and how it could transform the way we live, work, and play in our city.
