2. Develop strategies to protect private, confidential and proprietary information (IT, cyber, physical and corporate security measures)
3. Tips and key questions to consider when developing an effective information security program

Brent Patten is a Certified Protection Professional and a Certified Information Privacy Professional with 25 years experience in federal law enforcement. Brent has led security programs during his career with the Canada Border Services Agency and Public Safety Canada including directing the task force responsible for border security planning for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.

Azhar Laldin is the Managing Director of InScope Project Management and Consulting. Mr. Laldin has over 19 years of experience in successfully delivering high-impact, high-visibility and complex projects across a number of industries including Education, Agriculture, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Insurance, and Financial Services. He specializes in delivering cyber security programs, implementation of enterprise-wide systems (ERP, EAM, Risk Management), analysis, assessment, business solution evaluation/recommendation, and business process review/redesign. He holds Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics and Mathematics, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Information Technology Management, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
