This session expands on the steps to becoming an incorporated non-profit as well as dives into the requirements under the Manitoba Corporations Act.
Attendee will learn the following:
1. Board governance requirements and supports including duties of care, obedience and loyalty
2. Operational aspects and delivery
3. Volunteer managements’ best practices
Judith has over 25 years of experience as both a Human Resources Consultant and as a Corporate Trainer, having delivered seminars and workshops on a number of topics. She has provided assistance to numerous clients to help build efficient, effective and progressive organizations. Judith has also delivered Career and Employment Counseling Sessions for Aboriginal Youth throughout rural and Northern Manitoba and is currently working as the Manager of Training and Development with Volunteer Manitoba.
