We are pleased to have the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification Canada, provide an overview of the Harper Government’s economic agenda. Her remarks will focus on the most recent phase of Canada’s Economic Action Plan as we work to build on Canada’s economic advantage. Minister Rempel will also outline the specific role that Western Canada plays in Canada’s growing economy and the work Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) is accomplishing in bolstering our ability to realize new economic opportunities. This will include outlining WD’s strategic priorities and the services it provides to businesses and not-for-profits in the West.
