Paul brings over two decades of experience building and leading high-performance teams, including in his last role as Managing Director at X (formerly known as Twitter). In just 11 years SkipTheDishes has grown from a Prairie-born Canadian innovation story to a leading food delivery network which now connects millions of customers with over 50,000 Restaurant Partners in Canada.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

As Chief Executive Officer for SkipTheDishes, Paul Burns is committed to unlocking the full potential of Canada’s homegrown delivery network. He was appointed to the role of CEO in late 2023 after holding several senior leadership roles in the technology, media and entertainment industries. Most recently, Paul was the Managing Director for Twitter (X) in Canada, where he led the day-to-day operations of the platform and worked with top brand, agency and media partners. Prior to this, Paul was Managing Director for the Canadian division of the global digital agency HUGE, leading a team that built digital experiences and products for some of the world’s most ambitious tech brands, including Apple and Google.

As CEO of Skip, Paul is empowering everyday convenience for Canadians, with a focus on creating a transformative delivery experience for customers, couriers and over 50,000 restaurants and partners across the country. Paul is also an active Board Member for the Dunblaine School, a primary school for neurodiverse children, and is passionate about the role technology can play in shaping future educational experiences for students. Paul lives in Toronto with his wife and their two kids.
