International markets offer opportunities for growth for many businesses in Manitoba whether it be from an exporting or an importing perspective. This session will provide participants with key elements to consider before leading their business on the pathway to global markets.

Alberto Velasco joined the WTC Winnipeg in early 2014, currently leading trade development initiatives between Manitoba and Latin America, China and India. In Mexico, Mr. Velasco helped local companies get export ready for the U.S. market. In Canada, he has had the opportunity to coordinate business and diplomatic delegations between Manitoba and global markets such as Mexico, Chile, Brazil and China.
A native of Tunisia, Amine Abdelmoula holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Université de Saint-Boniface. In 2014, he joined the World Trade Centre Winnipeg as a researcher and information officer. Amine provides insight on foreign and local markets to entrepreneurs. He has a solid understanding of how to properly execute research in order to obtain pertinent information for clients.
