WINNIPEG CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO HOST MAYORAL FORUM ON OCTOBER 13
Oct. 8, 2010– The two front runners vying to be the next mayor of Winnipeg will take part in a Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce Mayoral Forum on Wednesday, Oct.13, at Canad Inns Polo Park, sponsored by CAA Manitoba and Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface, two weeks before Winnipeggers go to the polls.
“This forum will give the two candidates an opportunity to outline their vision for the city of Winnipeg to a crowd of almost 300 business leaders,” said Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Dave Angus. “It will also give voters valuable insight into where each candidate stands on important issues like crime, transportation, government spending, infrastructure and accountability and transparency at City Hall.”
Winnipeg Free Press columnist Dan Lett will moderate the 90-minute forum with a media panel consisting of CBC Radio morning host Terry MacLeod, Global TV reporter Jeff Keele and Winnipeg Free Press City Hall reporter Bartley Kives asking the questions.
