CHAMBER JOB FAIR FOCUSED ON BRINGING IMMIGRANTS AND BUSINESS TOGETHER
May 3, 2010 – Hundreds of job-ready immigrants will take part in a special job fair, hosted by The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce and the Province of Manitoba, with the aim of connecting immigrant job seekers to potential employment opportunities at a number of Manitoba organizations, private corporations and governments.
“Manitoba business leaders have told us repeatedly about the difficulty in finding employees. This forum creates an environment and opportunity where immigrants can make a quick and easy connection with employers who are accepting resumes for positions in which they are actively recruiting for,” said Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Dave Angus.
The Chamber’s 4th Annual “Connecting with the Immigrant Workforce” Job Fair is intended to accomplish the following:

Share information on recruiting and retaining immigrants

Share information on the local business community and resources to assist immigrants find employment.

Check out display booths to find out about job opportunities and what's being done to integrate immigrant employees into the workplace

ADMISSION: FREE
