As part of the planning process, annual staff and board retreats are held, together with membership surveys and stakeholder focus groups, to seek input on the direction/focus of The Chamber. The end result is a strategic plan with a three-year outlook.
Over the past three years (2008-2011), our intent was to leverage the growth and credibility we have created to initiate and create real change and opportunity for the business community through selling, building and celebrating our unique value as a city, province and chamber.
In the next three years (2011-2014), we feel it's time to elevate our thinking, to be aggressive in fitting all the pieces of the economic puzzle together to shape our future. It's time to be BOLD - to attract people to our city as tourists and creative talent, to develop an international mindset and action plan, to celebrate our successes and to leverage our membership for the benefit of the business community.
