Accomplishments

Although we have been around for more than a century, The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce continues to strive for excellence in all we do. Our commitment to raising the bar has not gone unnoticed.

Ranked in Top 10 of North American Chambers

The American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) has recognized our Chamber with membership achievement awards for the past three years for being in the Top 10 of North American Chambers for new members and new member dollars.

We have grown our membership by more than 25 per cent in the past five years to an all-time high of more than 2,050 member-companies, representing close to 90,000 employees.

Accredited by Canadian Chamber

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce continues to renew our Chamber as an accredited Chamber of Commerce with Distinction, acknowledging our high standards of excellence in service.

To be accredited, we must meet strict standards prescribed for programs, services, management/governance principles and policy/advocacy initiatives.

Named Most Credible Voice of Business

A Probe Research survey of 200 Manitoba CEOs and business leaders ranked us No. 1 as the most credible voice of business in Manitoba, outstripping most other major business organizations combined.

Viewed as Providing Leadership Excellence

Chamber president and CEO Dave Angus plays a national and international role in advocating for business as a past-president of the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada, which represents 120 national Chambers, and as the Canadian director on the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, representing 1,400 Chambers across North America.

Chamber vice-president Chuck Davidson sits on the board of the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada as the Manitoba representative.
